Market America Scam. Is Market America a Pyramid Scheme?

By Mathew S. Robar

Today we will examine if Market America is a scam or not in this review.

James Ridinger, formerly of Amway founded Market America in 1992. Their corporate headquarters is in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The "unfranchise" was made popular by Market America and refers to the ability to own a franchise without all the typicalll hassles.

What Market America does essentially is act as a broker. They find a niche and then contract manufactures to produce products to fill that niche.

Once the product is ready, Market America will leverage their nationwide sales force to bring the product to market. Pretty cool idea actually.

The opportunity itself is network marketing. You as an unfranchise owner can build a downline of people underneath you to get compensated off of.

You would build your business the normal network marketing way, by building a downline of people underneath you. You also have to think about bv in their comission structure.

This Bv system work inside the comission structure to determine your payout. You will get paid depending on how many products are sold and how much bv is accumulated.

You should also know, that as in other network marketing companies, you are encouraged to buy products and begin recruiting from within your "warm market" which typically includes your family and friends.

If this is the type of business structure you see yourself in, then Market America may be a good fit.

So are they a scam? No, they are a network marketing company that distributes products all over through its "unfranchise" owners.

It is not up to you to decide if you would like to work inside of that structure.

Have fun and good luck!
